The Surangama Sutra says: In bondage and release there is no second one. Bondage and release are the products of the same mind.
《楞严经》说:“缚脱无二。”——束缚和解脱都来自同一个心。
The Vimalakirti Sutra says: If there is bondage then there is release, if, at root, there is no bondage from whom should one seek release?
《维摩诘经》说:“若有缚则有解,若本无缚,其谁求解?”
If bondage exists, then its opposite, escape must also exist.
有了束缚,才有和它相对应的解脱。
If we know that bondage derives from our inner mind, then there is immediate release and there is no need to seek release elsewhere.
如认识到束缚是源自我们的内心,那么当下就是解脱,也就用不着另外去寻找什么解脱的了。
We are bound and released by ourselves, not by others.
束缚自己的,解脱自己的,都只能是我们自己,而不是他人。
